From 27. April 2020 (WeTransfer notes): “7 images including the cat (Betsie) on the bed and Robin and my body are an homage series to Joan Semmel’s work ‘Intimacy-Autonomy’ from 1974. She has never seen them (Joan) and probably never will.” – SMW. From 24. March 2020 (in email exchange): “here are the images too (just found them) which were printed fairly large and hung in sequence… i think there was only one image of our former cat Betsie in the sun… … then the Eva Hesse book on the floor and then the three nude images of us in the sun on the bed… … .i am going to start making domestic images again especially now that we are stuck inside! Rijksakademie Internal Open Studios – 07.09.20. “Performing these days is difficult, because of the pandemic. We have to reinvent ourselves. I am just trying to make something useful for my daily live, and the people around me.” – Anon. “Exactly, day to day caring structures. That’s what we do […].” – AC. “Everybody asks you how you perform, what it means. Yes, I’ll tell you it has a very deep meaning.” – Anon. “Abstract conceptualization, obscure.anon: Yes, it means whatever you need to hear.” – AC. “Now give me the money. ‘Valuable culture’, whatever that means.” – AC. “Then they are at ease. Rijksakademie Internal Open Studios – 07.09.20. “The most exciting things happened before they were called performance. Cause people started expecting a stage, things to happen. She [another archivist] noted the things artists prepared for a performance and the things they actually did.” – Anon. “The word “performance” ruined things […].” – SMW. “… durational performance.” – SMW. “That’s so horrible!” – Anon. “Right, durational happening.” – SMW. “No, I like it that you call it performance.” – Anon.
