Amal Alhaag

Amal is luminous, and I met her through Maria Guggenbichler, an artist in Munich. They used to run The Side Room together in Amsterdam, where I did my Blacklist event. Amal is one of the most encouraging and productively dialogic people I have ever met. I tried to introduce her to Frederikke Hansen but they did not click. Amal helps me believe in myself as an artist and person and has told me I’m the only male she believes in as feminist. She has an amazing husband Sodi St. Jean and they have a beautiful baby Bilan-Noni. She is a feminist force to be reckoned with and an intersectional genius. – SMW.
