Hannah Wilke made a song once. “Stand Up” was not a pursuit of vocal perfection – she sang because she wanted to. SMW and AC played this song a handful of times, reminiscing of Patti Smith’s unapologetic, intimate hoarse tone and of un-policed female voices.
