Pam Butler

“Good Girl Project”

Email exchange 24.05.20: I have more ephemera coming from www.pambutlerart.com who influenced me in the early 90s (her work, she and I have never met). A book and some posters. Apparently Pam Butler is connected to artists Larry Clark and Sue Williams and Leigh Ledare by friendship / artistic kinship Interesting to know. – SMW.

Email exchange 29.05.20: The Good Girl Project poster series which inspired me greatly back in 1993-1994 in New York City. The artist is Pam Butler and as I said on Zoom yesterday I ordered a book from her, and some posters. They should come soon. Pam is an artist connected to Sue Williams, Larry Clark and Leigh Ledare among other artists.I had never had contact with her before this year, so again digging into the past, fruitfully .– SMW.

“I printed this stationary to use for my business, but never really used it for that. I used it to start making drawings on. My Mom had sent me fruit scented markers with animals printed on them, which I had used in my childhood. I used these to make the drawings, declarative statements to find my way.” – SMW.
