“We talked about words such as discourse and then I came up with ‘ditzcourse’. Reading words like ‘anthroposcene, post-humanist’ in an intern application letter at first didn’t feel close to Sands his practice. ‘My materials are emotions, relations, behavior, it’s all about affect.’ ‘It’s all very domestic with me, I don’t want to sound as an intellectual’. But during the skype-talk we have with applicant Amalia Calderón it becomes more clear how she relates to these concepts and an engaged conversation unfolds, where there are clearly more connections than we might have expected from the initial letter.” From the meta-archive process diary. – RR.
